Poster Display

The deadline for submissions for 2024 has passed. Authors will be notified of the committee's selection for poster or selected oral presentation by August 1, 2024. Presenting authors are required to register by August 12, 2024. 

POSTER PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The Opening Reception and Poster session will be held at the InterContinental Hotel on Sunday, September 22 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. 
  • Posters need to be set-up Sunday, September 22, 4:30-6:00 p.m. and removed at the end of the reception ~ 8:30 p.m.
  • After the reception, posters will need to be moved by the presenter from the InterContinental Hotel to the RiverCentre and set-up again on Monday, September 23, 7:30-8:00 a.m. 
  • Posters can be removed Tuesday, September 24, 12:00 p.m or earlier. 
  • Posters will be displayed on free standing cork boards. Presenters will be assigned a 4’ tall by 4’ wide space. All posters must be self-contained, and t-pins will be provided. Electricity, audiovisual equipment, or computer equipment will not be available for this session. 
  • Please check in at the registration desk to receive your name tag and conference materials.
  • The Allen D. Leman Swine Conference draws veterinarians and other professionals working in swine production and animal health management from many countries. As you develop your poster, be sure to include both the relevant research as well as the practical application of the information to appeal to the widely mixed academic, industry and practitioner audience.

ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five hundred (500) words or less. Citations are not included in the 500-word limit and should be listed at the end of the abstract.
  • Abstracts must include the following information: Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • Charts and graphs are encouraged on posters, however please do not include them in your abstract.
  • Only up-to-date developments and new research will be accepted.
  • The presenting author must register for the conference.
  • All submissions will be reviewed and judged blindly based on scientific merit.
